Challenge

River Safari required a physically interactive and multi-sensory experience for their panda enclosure that was fully inclusive for a diverse audience range. The experience design required UX journeys catering for all age groups, disabilities, learnings types and demographics.

Approach

We developed physical approach to this project, shying away from digital interactives as a learning mechanism. The exhibit designs incorporated touch, smell, sight and sound, with a range of challenges designed to aid visitor learning and engagement. This enabled us to fully cater for all demographics, including those with visual or cognitive impairments. With bespoke fabrication and complex scenography, a detailed level of design was required through to the end workshop drawings with detailed coordination to the base build structure.
